Transmission Fluid Leak

A transmission fluid leak is something that needs to be addressed. If you notice ATF leaking from your vehicle such as in the picture on the right, contact your nearest Tanner Transmissions® location as soon as possible. Automatic Transmission Fluid serves to keep your transmission running cool and operating correctly. Low fluid levels can cause your transmission to operate at higher temperatures and may lead to damage in your transmission.

Leaking Transmission Fluid

Leaking transmission fluid is one of the easiest ways to spot possible transmission problems.

• Automatic transmission fluid cleans and lubricates your transmission seals and moving parts. It also acts as a coolant, keeping the internal transmission parts from operating at too high of temperatures.
• When the ATF (automatic transmission fluid) gets low or too low, it lowers protection of your transmission gears, bands, seals and gaskets.
• A little fluid found leaking in your garage or on your driveway can become a major problem.
